The all-new 2024 Toyota C-HR is a small crossover with so much to offer. This impressive model made its debut in 2016 and it is available in both Europe and US. The C-HR stands for Coupe High-Rider and it provides a unique design that looks both sleek and sporty. The cabin is elegant and its sloping roofline provides additional cabin space.
In Europe, C-HR is available with a hybrid powertrain. Unfortunately, the current model in the United States is only available with a petrol engine. The next variant will receive a couple of cool updates, but this is far from redesign or anything similar.
Exterior Facelift
The upcoming 2024 Toyota C-HR will most likely receive a mild facelift. Recognizable styling is present since its introduction seven years ago. This model received modest cosmetic upgrades two years ago. We have little reason to think that the design for the following year’s model will change at all.
The TNGA architecture remains so even the vehicle’s dimensions are unchanged. On the other hand, Toyota C-HR should gain new exterior colors and a new appearance package. Moreover, mild upgrades will happen, so expect a couple of tweaks on the front fascia and probably new optional wheels.
Interior Upgrades
On the inside, new 2024 Toyota C-HR will gain numerous updates. However, a significant interior overhaul is not happening yet. The cabin is pleasant, as it offers lots of modern amenities and elegant materials. It is far from a luxurious interior, but for that price, C-HR is surprisingly upright.
In terms of technology, this crossover has a standard 8-inch touchscreen, numerous USB ports, Bluetooth, and Android Auto/AppleCarPlay. On top of that, Toyota offers push-button start, Wi-Fi hotspot, two-zone climate control, and much more. New model will introduce additional safety aids. The ride quality is good and the cabin is a nice place to be in.
Toyota C-HR Engine Specs
Unfortunately, the 2024 Toyota C-HR will continue its journey with only one engine option. This model in Europe already offers a hybrid powertrain. However, the US-spec C-HR comes with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. This gasoline unit is capable of producing 145 hp and 140 lb-ft of torque. The engine itself delivers a smooth and quiet ride.
However, this crossover desperately needs an optional powertrain with more power. From what we know, that won’t happen in the next year or two. The C-HR offers a smooth CVT automatic transmission. Furthermore, it gets 27 mpg in the city and 31 mpg on the highway. As before, the FWD system is available once again.
2024 Toyota C-HR Price and Release Date
The price of the 2024 Toyota C-HR will start at around $24,500, per reports. The upgrades are far from significant, so the Japanese carmaker will not increase the starting price of its crossover. More dramatic updates should happen later next year. Until that happens, the 2024MY is going on sale in the second half of 2023.
