The upcoming 2024 Porsche Macan EV will make its premiere with the new electric powertrain early next year. The Macan SUV has a stylish design and is supported by a new premium platform electric (PPE) modular architecture. In case you were unaware, Porsche and Audi collaborated to design this platform.
Consequently, other prospective models within the Volkswagen Group may be expected to be built on the same variants of the platform. However, we don’t know that much about vehicle performances. According to Porsche, the Macan will accommodate a 350-kilowatt charger, which is quite impressive. Without further ado, this is what we know about the new Macan EV SUV.
Spy Shots
The next 2024 Porsche Macan EV has various enhancements over the current model, based on the first spy photos. It has a revised front fascia that has a tiny closed grille and headlamps that are the same form but have new graphics. Thanks to that, the front fascia will look more distinctive and definitely more modern.
Spy shots are also showing a unique rear spoiler. Porsche is making improvements, especially in the aerodynamics department, so expect a very sporty appearance. We are waiting for camouflage to come off, and hopefully, Porsche will introduce new bigger wheels and new exterior colors.
Porsche Macan EV Interior
As for the interior design, the new 2024 Porsche Macan EV won’t depart from the regular Macan SUV. Of course, to set this model apart from the competition, the manufacturer will ultimately add more high-quality components. This SUV has a cozy cabin and a standard 10.9-inch infotainment system. Moreover, it is perhaps one of the most luxurious models in the segment, no question about it.
This SUV will include lots of basic stuff, including Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, navigation, Bluetooth, and more. However, Macan EV will also include lots of luxury amenities as standard. Of course, some premium features will be optional but expect that the EV variant will be more upright than the rest of the trim level lineup.
Driving Range and Charging
The forthcoming 2024 Porsche Macan EV will be one of the models that will sit on the new platform developed by Volkswagen Group. According to Porsche, the Macan EV will allow 350-kilowatt charging, providing a range of around 250 miles in almost 20 minutes. Moreover, Macan EV will provide a range of 60 miles in just four minutes of charging. The manufacturer also showed off a more potent 450-kW charging system, which could provide 60 miles of range in only three minutes.
Unfortunately, we don’t know how much power this SUV will produce. Porsche intends to keep selling the gasoline-powered Macan in addition to the electric version for a few more years. There are now three distinct configurations. The standard engine is a 2.0-liter turbo-four engine with 260 horsepower. You can obtain a twin-turbo 2.9-liter V6 with 375 horsepower by upgrading to the S variant. The GTS model’s engine, which has 434 horsepower, is the strongest of all.
2024 Porsche Macan EV Price, Release Date
The price of the new 2024 Porsche Macan EV will start at more than the current Macan GTS which is available for $80,000. It is a luxury SUV with an all-electric powertrain, so the high starting price comes as no surprise. Reportedly, Macan EV will hit the markets at some point in the first quarter of 2023.
