The upcoming 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee could introduce at least one significant improvement. We are talking about the all-electric Grand Cherokee SUV. This is not official yet, but many reliable sources are suggesting the electric version. It does make sense, as the Grand Cherokee is a very popular model. Furthermore, Jeep will electrify its lineup of SUVs and crossovers in the coming years.
Therefore, Grand Cherokee could be one of the first models to gain complete electrification. Besides that, we don’t know yet if Jeep plans to provide additional dramatic upgrades. From what we heard, this model will gain mild styling upgrades and a couple of technology updates inside the cabin. The engine lineup won’t change, but a fully electric model could be a very nice addition.
Mild Styling Upgrades
The next 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee won’t receive a redesign, despite numerous rumors. This SUV will remain a stylish model with many trim levels and packages. It is a sleek-looking model with great aerodynamics. 19-inch alloy wheels will be available once again. The front fascia comes with sharp-looking headlights and a recognizable seven-slot grille.
Since the engine lineup won’t change, we don’t expect to see a wider grille with larger openings. So, what will change in the 2024MY? From what we know, the only exterior updates will be new exterior colors. Moreover, some reports are predicting small modifications on the sides.
Interior Review
Similar treatment will continue inside the cabin. The 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee will, however, get more technology updates. That includes the update of the infotainment system and new driver-assistance aids will be on offer as an option. Jeep already made a 10.1-inch digital screen standard. Moreover, there is now a nine-speaker Alpine sound system.
Of course, upper trim levels will offer an impressive 19-speaker sound system. There is also the Grand Cherokee L variant. It is a longer version with more room, but this model won’t depart from other trim levels in terms of cabin design.
Grand Cherokee 4xe Hybrid and All-Electric Specs
As we predicted, the 2023MY already arrived with a plug-in hybrid powertrain. The next step is the all-electric model. This leads us to the 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee, a model that should get a fully electric variant. This is a rumor at the moment, so nothing is official yet. Jeep now offers the Grand Cherokee Trailhawk model exclusively with the 4xe hybrid powertrain. This is only one of the changes that will happen in the engine lineup.
However, for now, the lineup of traditional combustion engines won’t change at all. The 3.6-liter V6 with 293 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque is standard again. There is also an optional 5.7-liter V8 engine with 357 horsepower and 390 lb-ft of twisting power. Lastly, the 4xe hybrid powertrain is a mix of a 2.0-liter turbo-four engine and an electric motor. This output delivers 375 horses and a torque of 470 lb-ft.

The price of the new 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee starts at $40,000 and it moves up from here. The hybrid variant is here, so we are now waiting to hear more details about the all-electric Grand Cherokee. This modern SUV will hit the dealerships next summer.
