Sadly, the eagerly anticipated 2024 Ford Explorer has been delayed until the next year. Therefore, the new Explorer won’t be available for a little while longer if you’re seeking an SUV with an appealing appearance and ample space for passengers and their goods. For those who may not be aware, the Ford Explorer is one of the most popular vehicles in its category, providing a convenient and comfortable interior for up to seven occupants.
With 10 different trim levels, it is among the wildest SUVs. Performance-wise, the standard model has a 300 horsepower 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine; the hybrid model also has an optional 3.0-liter V6 engine.
One of the most attractive SUVs in its class is the forthcoming 2024 Ford Explorer, for a reason. Basically, we adore how this model looks sportier thanks to the new ST-Line trim level. The ST-Line upgrades the appearance with unique headlights and taillights. Moreover, this variant sports numerous black accents and badges.
The 20-inch wheels are available as standard. In contrast, the Timberline version has steel skid plates and is lifted slightly due to higher suspension. The most expensive Platinum trim level looks more premium as it hosts upright materials and additional aluminum treatment.
Ford Explorer Interior
The next 2024 Ford Explorer comes with an interior that is both practical and cozy. The third row of seats in this SUV is just as comfortable as before. However, we must point out that you can find more comfortable seats in the segment.
The 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system will ultimately be replaced with a larger 10.1-inch one in terms of technology. The bigger screen has only been an optional feature up until now. We anticipate that it will come equipped with a Wi-Fi hotspot, Apple Car Play/Android Auto as standard. Every Ford Explorer also includes a 12-speaker sound system, voice-activated navigation, and a rear-seat entertainment system. We’ll get more information in the following weeks.
The upcoming 2024 Ford Explorer will employ the same powertrain lineup as the previous model. The base model comes with a 2.3-liter turbo-four engine that produces 300 horsepower. However, a more potent 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 with 300 horsepower is available with the optional King Ranch, Platinum, or ST versions. A 3.3-liter V6 engine and an electric motor are combined in the available hybrid model.
The result is a combined output of 318 horsepower, which is more than enough. The Explorer has a maximum towing capacity of around 5550 pounds when fully equipped. An all-wheel drive is optional again, while the base setup includes an RWD system. The new Explorer will employ a very refined 10-speed automatic transmission, just like the majority of modern SUVs nowadays.
