After the significant redesign in 2020, the 2024 Ford Escape will not arrive with a makeover. Instead, the most reliable reports are saying the 2025MY will be the next-gen model. Therefore, the 2024MY is ready for another mid-cycle facelift. This isn’t a bad thing as Blue Oval constantly improves one of its best-selling models.
The Escape crossover SUV is very popular and the next model will receive some cool changes. And while this model is not on the horizon yet, it should receive a lot of high-tech updates, in order to remain competitive. On the other hand, we don’t expect drastic visual changes and even things under the hood will remain intact.
Ford Escape Facelift
The 2024 Ford Escape is still far away, but we already know a couple of details. The 2023MY will bring a very nice facelift. The crossover will gain a new light bar running across the top of the grille. Moreover, the bar connects the headlights. Speaking of which, the headlamps are revised and more rectangular. The grille will gain some sort of refresh, so the front fascia will look almost brand-new.
The rear section will introduce more subtle taillights with a new lighting signature. This leads us to the 2024 Escape. Ford will build on the previous facelift, so we expect new colors and new wheels. Moreover, the side profile will introduce new sharp lines. After that, the 2025 Escape will arrive as the next-gen model.
Interior to Get Maverick’s Colors
The interior is also getting a couple of improvements. The 2024 Ford Escape will introduce new interior color schemes and some new and definitely more interesting shapes. The idea is simple. Blue Oval had a very nice success with the Ford Maverick compact pickup. This model provides a very simple cabin design, with quality materials.
The Escape crossover will borrow a couple of things. That will include new air vents and new interior color schemes. Before that, Escape will introduce a larger infotainment touchscreen. Add the latest driver-assistance aids and more standard equipment and the Escape model will be very upright and competitive.
Numerous Engine Options
The new 2024 Ford Escape will not introduce a new engine, Luckily, this model offers a wide range of engines. Everything starts with a 1.5-liter three-cylinder unit with 181 horsepower. The optional 2.0-liter four-cylinder produces 250 horsepower and it provides good acceleration. Of course, there is a hybrid powertrain that consists of a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine and two electric motors.
This version delivers 221 hp. Thanks to an 11.2-kWh battery, Escape Hybrid gets 37 miles of all-electric range. It is a nice way to save fuel, but even the base 1.3-liter engine is good, offering 27 mpg in the city and 33 mpg on the highway.
2024 Ford Escape Price, Release Date
Right now, the Escape crossover starts at $28,500. Moreover, the range-topping Titanium PHEV trim level is available for around $42,000. When the 2024 Ford Escape arrives, the price will go up, but not dramatically. Therefore, expect that the entry-level Escape will cost around $30k. The sales will begin later in 2023, with more details to follow.
