2023 Mercedes-Benz EQE Coming to U.S. Later This Year

The upcoming 2023 Mercedes-Benz EQE is the brand-new crossover SUV that will slot below the larger EQS version. This model will go on sale in the United States later in 2022. The EQE sedan already exists, and now Mercedes is about to introduce a high-riding crossover variant. First spy shots are already here and instantly spotted a lot of exciting things.

The all-electric model will sport a unique exterior design. Both the exterior and interior will look incredibly modern and premium. As for the performance, this model will produce up to 670 hp with a dual-motor setup. Without further ado, here’s everything we know about this model at the moment.

Mercedes-Benz EQE Exterior Design

Unlike the E-Class, the new 2023 Mercedes-Benz EQE model will be a slightly larger model. However, EQE will slot below the EQS model. The front grille looks very upright, but it is finished in a traditional way. The angled headlights are sharper than on the E-Class, and it is the easiest way to distinguish this all-electric variant.

The spy photos are here as well, and we believe the spied prototype is the final production model. The bumpers are curvy and the rear section hosts taillights connected with a LED stripe. We are waiting to hear more details, but everyone expects a premium crossover with a recognizable design language.

Interior Features

The new 2023 Mercedes-Benz EQE will share the cabin with its sedan sibling. Of course, it will be an elegant interior with top-notch materials and generous passenger and storage space. Unlike some previous models, this one will sport a more futuristic appearance. The interior highlight is the optional Hyperscreen. This unit will turn the dash into a large glass panel with digital displays.

Interestingly, Mercedes will provide various digital soundscapes. The idea is to replace the absent engine sound. Therefore, you can opt for modes such as Roaring Pulse, Vivid Flux, and Silver Waves. The EQE crossover SUV will also offer ambient lighting, four-zone climate control, and the latest version of the MBUX infotainment system.

The EQE350 variant will produce 288 hp and 391 lb-ft of torque. However, the optional dual-motor version with a standard AWD system will be a much better choice. This version will produce over 400 horsepower. Both models will have air suspension and the ride quality and handling will be superb.

Mercedes will provide a 90.6-kWh battery pack and a driving range of at least 300 miles. You can charge the new EQE model from 10 to 100 percent in about 9 hours, using a Level 2 240-volt charger.
