The brand-new 2023 Maserati Grecale Folgore is coming to the markets. It is an all-electric SUV provided by an Italian manufacturer. On top of that, it could be the first EV model made by Maserati. Reportedly, it will go on sale this fall, and it will reach dealerships in the United States. Grecale model will offer regular combustion engines, and the Folgore variant is the range-topping option with an all-electric powertrain.
The Grecale SUV will compete in the mid-size segment and it will share a platform with the Alfa Romeo Stelvio. As you expected, Maserati Grecale Folgore will offer a sporty exterior design and a very premium interior. Here’s everything you need to know about this new model.
Maserati Grecale Folgore Exterior Design
The forthcoming 2023 Maserati Grecale Folgore will look incredibly sporty. This mid-size crossover SUV comes with an athletic appearance, providing upright styling with distinctive exterior elements. We think this model looks better than the Levante variant.
As we said, Grecale sits on the same architecture as the Alfa Romeo Stelvio model. Unlike the base Grecale model, Folgore features a closed-off grille. Moreover, air intakes are slightly different. The front fascia also provides gloss black elements and sportier fenders. Dimensionally, Grecale model will be shorter than the Levante and it will also offer a shorter wheelbase.
Interior Full of Luxury
The interior of the 2023 Maserati Grecale Folgore is also sporty and elegant. According to Maserati, the Grecale model is more spacious than rivals such as Porsche Macan. The manufacturer will provide lots of standard features, including a 12.3-inch screen, an updated infotainment system, and Apple CarPlay/Android Auto.
Moreover, Grecale Folgore offers a lower 8.8-inch display that is responsible for the car’s settings such as climate controls. The Folgore model, as an EV variant, will look slightly more futuristic and will provide more high-tech amenities. Still, the interior design and seating layout are largely intact. Lastly, the interior wears eco-friendly materials made out of fishing nets.
Driving Range and Power
The new 2023 Maserati Grecale Folgore will provide an AWD system as standard. This means we expect to see more than one electric motor, but we don’t know if we are dealing with two-motor or even four-motor configurations. Standard AWD setup most likely means a dual-motor layout, one motor at each axle. In terms of performance, Folgore SUV will reportedly generate 590 lb-ft of torque.
However, we don’t know how many horses will this model produce. We expect impressive acceleration, in line with electric models such as Tesla Model X or BMW iX. As for the driving range, Maserati Grecale Folgore will have a 105-kWh battery, which should provide around 300 miles.
2023 Maserati Grecale Folgore Price, Release Date
The Italian manufacturer is yet to announce further details. The 2023 Maserati Grecale Folgore will reportedly arrive later in 2022, in the United States. However, we believe that this model will not go on sale before 2023. The price is not available yet, but the Folgore variant will surely cost at least $100,000. The base Grecale model will be available for about $75k.
