2023 Jeep Wrangler and Wrangler Magneto Coming to the Markets

The 2023 Jeep Wrangler will introduce mid-cycle improvements. This popular off-road SUV will gain one important upgrade and it is an all-electric Magneto variant. Besides that, Wrangler will once again offer the 4xe hybrid variant. In terms of conventional engines, this model provides the same V6 Pentastar powertrain in the last couple of years. We don’t expect to see major visual upgrades and even the interior won’t change that much.

Wrangler continues to offer great off-road capabilities. It is an SUV with plenty of trim levels and easy customization. That includes models such as Rubicon and you can also choose between the two-door and the four-door Wrangler. The redesign is not on the cars but we can’t wait to see the new Wrangler and its all-electric variant. The sales will begin next summer.

Engine Options

The all-new 2023 Jeep Wrangler will continue to offer the same powertrain lineup as the current model. Of course, the electric Magneto variant is coming to the markets, but we’ll get to that later. A 3.6-liter Pentastar is the base drivetrain. It is a gasoline V6 engine with 285 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque. Jeep offers both manual and automatic transmissions. Furthermore, you can opt for the mild-hybrid variant that is a slight disappointment in terms of efficiency and power.

Total output is rated at 270 hp and 295 lb-ft of twisting power. A 3.0-liter EcoDiesel is also on offer. This engine develops up to 260 horsepower and 442 lb-ft of torque. Diesel delivers 22 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the highway. Moreover, an eight-speed automatic transmission is the only available choice at the moment. The Rubicon 392 edition is using a potent V8 engine, although this model is limited. And while the power is great, fuel efficiency is far from impressive.

2023 Wrangler Magneto

The forthcoming 2023 Jeep Wrangler Magneto is the brand-new all-electric model. After the 4xe hybrid variant, the Magneto is coming to the markets as well. It is an impressive model that sprints from 0 to 60 mph in less than six seconds, which is great to hear. Interestingly, Jeep could offer a manual transmission. The Wrangler Magneto rides on the STLA Frame architecture and it will reportedly provide over 300 miles of driving range.

The battery packs will work in combination with the custom-built axial flux electric motor, providing a total capacity of 70 kWh. Some reports are suggesting that the Magneto model will be the most powerful Wrangler to this date. Thanks to that, we expect to see great performances, along with the impressive driving range and charging time. Jeep will reveal more details in the coming months.

4xe Hybrid Specs

The 2023 Jeep Wrangler 4xe will once again go on sale. However, we don’t expect to see any sort of improvement over the current model. The 4xe version deploys a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, combined with electric motors. The Wrangler 4xe will generate 375 horsepower and 475 lb-ft of torque. Furthermore, this model will provide 21 miles of all-electric driving range, and incredible fuel economy ratings.
