The forthcoming 2022 Ford Expedition is getting further changes. According to various reports, the 2022 model is about to introduce significant upgrades. Expedition will remain an eight-seat SUV, but it will get more standard equipment. On top of that, this model will gain an exterior redesign, and the interior will also get a couple of essential refreshments.
The list of updates continues with the rumored hybrid powertrain. This is not official, but it seems like the Expedition Hybrid is the most likely outcome. Expedition and Expedition MAX models are very comfortable and spacious full-size SUVs with plenty of customization. The sales will start at some point next year, and the price will slightly increase.

Expedition Hybrid The Most Likely Outcome
The approaching 2022 Ford Expedition could get a hybrid powertrain. It could be a huge boost for the SUV’s performance. According to various reports, Ford’s Kentucky Plant will produce a new Expedition Hybrid. Moreover, this plant already produces Aviator SUV and F-150 Hybrid pickup. As for the regular model, the full-size SUV will offer a 3.5-liter V6 twin-turbo engine with 400 hp and 480 lb-ft of torque. The performances are great, but the twin-turbo engine is quite thirsty. Expedition remains a rear-wheel-drive SUV that offers a ten-speed automatic transmission. Lastly, the Expedition model can tow up to 6,650 pounds.
