2021 Volvo XC90 – What’s New?

The forthcoming 2021 Volvo XC90 is a luxury mid-size three-row crossover-SUV that perfectly combined style, technology, and safety. It is one of the best and most reliable models in its segment. You won’t mistake if you say that the XC90 model is better than BMW X5 or Audi Q7. It is a more affordable version, yet, it comes with various equipment and great performances. For 2021, Volvo will introduce a couple of exciting changes.

The plug-in hybrid variant is not available as a T8 model, and it will use the „Recharge“ name instead. More standard equipment is good news for the customers, and XC90 will also introduce new optional driver-assistance systems. As before, a 2.0-liter engine is available in different outputs, and it provides great performances. Lastly, the price shouldn’t change at all.

2021 XC90 Facelift

The upcoming 2021 Volvo XC90 comes with various exterior updates. However, its recognizable „Thor’s Hammer“ LED daytime running lights will remain. It is something that makes this crossover easy to spot on the road, and the Swedish manufacturer won’t change that in the near future. We think the XC90 model looks very premium and stylish. However, it is also a practical crossover with a powered tailgate and hands-free system. Illuminated door handles are looking gorgeous. If you want the sportier appearance, opt for the R-Design trim level.

This trim provides unique grille and various high-gloss black exterior accents. 19-inch alloy wheels are offered as standard, but you can optionally buy larger 22-inch rims with the summer performance tires. For 2021, Volvo will deliver full LED headlights with active bending lights. Bodywork is slightly improved, and XC90 crossover-SUV will get slightly larger taillights.

2021 Volvo XC90 changes

The all-new 2021 Volvo XC90 offers really impressive interior design. The cabin is full of luxury and upright materials. It is a three-row crossover-SUV with a room for seven passengers. However, Volvo offers optional captain’s chairs in the second row, so the number of seats can be reduced to six. We think the cabin space is simple, while the third-row occupants will have decent legroom. The seats are providing supreme comfort, especially the front seats.

Volvo is a perfect family SUV, and you will enjoy longer trips with your family for sure. A 12.3-inch display is available, along with a vertically-oriented 9-inch infotainment touchscreen. The 2021 XC90 comes with a standard wireless charging. Besides that, Volvo now offers front parking sensors, Care Key system, and new and optional Bowers & Wilkins sound system.
