Both versions are very practical and are offering more than a decent all-electric driving range. The segment is packed with established rivals such as Ford Escape and Honda CR-V. Moreover, the Japanese manufacturer delivers additional piano-black accents and chrome trims. If you want a sportier variant, new RAV4 Prime is the answer. This model is available with the black-roof design, larger 19-inch wheels, and a more athletic stance.
Practical and Modern Interior
The all-new 2021 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid offers a good-looking interior. Design is very modern, and comfort is admirable. Moreover, all RAV4 models are offering practicality over the style. This small crossover is more spacious than its competitors, which is great for families and longer trips. The interior layout is simple, and all of the controls are easy to operate with. Dual-zone automatic climate control is standard, along with the tilt-telescoping steering wheel.
Upper trim levels are offering more luxury, such as heated rear seats, ambient lighting, and updated faux-leather upholstery. LE and XLE trim levels are offering a 7-inch touchscreen. However, XSE and Limited are available with an 8-inch display. Toyota did a great job with designing the interior of the RAV4 model, and we can’t find major issues on the inside.

As for the new 2021 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid, this crossover comes with good performances. More importantly, hybrid and plug-in hybrid versions are delivering significantly higher fuel efficiency. The plug-in hybrid RAV4 Prime offers an 18.1-kWh battery pack and 42 miles of all-electric range. 3.3-kWh onboard chargers are 6.6-kWh units and are available as optional equipment.
The regular hybrid model is rated at 41 mpg in the city and 38 mpg on the highway. To compare, gasoline-powered RAV4 delivers 27 mpg in the city and 32 mpg on the highway. The small crossover is using a 2.5-liter engine with 219 horsepower.
2021 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid Price and Release Date
The price of the all-new 2021 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid starts at $30,000. The XLE Hybrid is available for $31,000 and a new XLE Premium trim level for around $33,000. The list goes on with the XSE Hybrid and Limited Hybrid models that will cost $35,000 and $38,000. Lastly, Prime SE is priced at $39,000 and Prime XSE and $42,500. The sales will begin in the last quarter of 2020.
