The upcoming 2021 Toyota 4Runner TRD Pro is ready for further updates. The arriving SUV will arrive with new exterior paint, new wheels, and upgraded Fox shocks. Most of the exterior changes are visible at first glance, and 4Runner TRD Pro will finally introduce standard LED headlamps.
As the base trim level, TRD Pro will use the same powertrain option, and it is a potent V6 gasoline engine. The interior will suffer a couple of refinements too, and the sales of the new 4Runner should start by the end of the year.
2021 4Runner TRD Pro Redesign Includes New Colors
The forthcoming 2021 Toyota 4Runner TRD Pro will get an exterior redesign. New SUV will look better as a result. Toyota opted for plenty of small modifications. For a start, the new TRD Pro variant will introduce new bluish-green and grey exterior colors. Moreover, Lunar Rock is the new paint as well. The side profile comes with new wheels that are looking more aggressive. Wrapped in Nitto Terra Grappler tires, the wheels are also looking more stylish than the previous units.
Toyota continued with upgrades by introducing new 2.5-inch Fox shocks. Tuned springs will provide a few inches of lift, which should improve the off-roading ability. Similar springs can be found beneath the Jeep Gladiator Mojave model. The front part hosts a familiar grille, and LED headlights are finally offered as standard.
Interior Looks Premium
New 2021 Toyota 4Runner TRD Pro comes with sporty interior design. Moreover, the TRD Pro trim offers a premium cabin, unlike the base trim level. The Japanese manufacturer will improve the level of comfort, and it will add more upright materials. The fabric-trimmed front seats are providing excellent comfort, and TRD Pro also offers an 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat. Power lumbar support is available as well.
This SUV comes with a Multi-Information Display, and this unit provides information such as outside temperature, average fuel economy, and various different details. Dual-zone automatic climate control is available, and Toyota will also install a new air filter. Lastly, 4Runner TRD Pro will get a backup camera, leather steering wheel, and the latest driver-assistance.
The 2021 Toyota 4Runner TRD Pro will continue to offer a proven and already familiar engine. It is a 4.0-liter V6 gasoline engine with 270 horsepower. Moreover, this engine is capable of producing 278 lb-ft of torque. Toyota promised two gearbox options, including a five-speed automatic transmission. The second option is a new six-speed transmission.
As before, the customers can choose between RWD and 4WD setups. Besides new shocks, 4Runner TRD Pro will get a new exhaust system. Thanks to that, this SUV will sound better than before. Generally, 4Runner won’t produce more power, but its ride quality will be significantly improved.
2021 Toyota 4Runner TRD Pro Release Date and Price
The price of the new 2021 Toyota 4Runner TRD Pro will start at around $51,000. TRD Pro is the best trim level that Toyota has to offer, so the price is perfectly reasonable. The Japanese manufacturer will launch its new SUV by the end of 2020.
