2021 Nissan Rogue Sport Gets Minor Upgrades

The upcoming 2021 Nissan Rogue Sport is going on sale by the end of 2020. Sporty SUV arrived as a standalone version three years ago. Sport model is smaller than the regular model this SUV has been significantly updated in 2019. For 2021, Rogue Sport should be a carryover. That means Nissan will provide subtle updates in terms of design.

On the other hand, the interior could benefit from more drastic updates. On top of that, Rogue Sport will get additional safety features. Nothing will change under the hood, so this SUV continues to ride on the same engine as the outgoing model. The price should also remain and we already said that Nissan will launch a new model by the end of the year.

2021 Rogue Sport – Changes, Dimensions

As a carryover, the new 2021 Nissan Rogue Sport will keep its dimensions and shape. Moreover, wider V-Motion grille and sleek headlights will largely remain too. That also includes other exterior features such as LED fog lights and LED taillights. Rogue Sport will continue to look unique and attractive.

This SUV comes with real character and improved bodywork over the base Rogue model. The aerodynamics are better and the stance is slightly lower. For 2021, Rogue Sport will only gain more chrome work and its weight will be slightly reduced.

Improved Safety Ratings

On the inside, the new 2021 Nissan Rogue Sport will get a couple of updates. The cabin is surprisingly sporty in our opinion. This version comes with a flat-bottom steering wheel and plenty of gloss-black trims. A 7-inch touchscreen is offered as standard once again. Leather upholstery is optional and it provides a higher level of comfort. Basically, most of the premium features are optional. Rogue Sport offers standard Bluetooth, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and numerous USB ports.

For 2021, Nissan will update the infotainment system, displays, and navigation. However, the most significant update will happen in the safety department. This SUV will get more driver-assistance features. That includes pedestrian detection, forward-collision warning, and rear automatic braking. On top of that, lane-keep assist, automatic emergency braking, and lane departure warning are available as well.

Nothing changes under the hood as the 2021 Nissan Rogue Sports continues with the same engine as before. It is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that can produce 141 horsepower. Moreover, this output has been rated at 147 lb-ft of torque.

Interestingly, its towing capacity rating is set at zero. However, a CVT transmission is available, which is a great thing. Rogue Sport delivers 25 mpg in the city and 32 mpg on the highway. As before, the all-wheel-drive system will be optional.

2021 Nissan Rogue Sport Release Date and Price

While the release date is not official yet, the new 2021 Nissan Rogue Sport will go on sale by the end of 2020. Most likely, the Japanese manufacturer will launch its new model in the last quarter of the year.

The price is also unknown, but Rogue Sport should not cost more than the outgoing model. We predict the price that starts at $25,000. Lastly, new Rogue Sport will compete with Kia Sportage, Hyundai Tucson, and Chevy Trax.
