2021 Jeep Renegade PHEV to Arrive in Summer 2020

Jeep finally released all the details of its new gasoline plug-in hybrid SUV. The upcoming 2021 Jeep Renegade PHEV will go on sale next summer as a model for 2021. Logically, the PHEV version is based on the current gasoline model, and the only major difference is the powertrain. This subcompact SUV will also get a couple of refreshments in terms of exterior design.

The interior is also getting numerous smaller updates. Under the hood, a hybrid version will produce around 240 horsepower. That is significantly more than the standard Renegade version. Besides Renegade crossover-SUV, Jeep will release numerous models at the same time next summer.

The battery pack provides good mileage, and thanks to that, Renegade can run on pure electric power for 30 miles.

Total output is rated at 240 horsepower, and the credit goes to a combination of a 1.3-liter engine, battery and electric motor. AWD setup is optional, and the new eAWD system allows for torque to be controlled independently. The subcompact SUV sprints from 0 to 60 mph in seven seconds. Moreover, its top speed is rated at 80 mph in electric mode.

The 2021 Jeep Renegade PHEV and new Jeep Compass are just one of the models that are part of the company’s “e-volution” program. The price will start at around $20,000.
