The all-new 2021 Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy is about to get further changes and upgrades. Calligraphy is the range-topping trim level, previously replacing Limited trim. As for the Palisade, this model remains an upright three-row SUV. However, if you want real luxury and premium features, Calligraphy trim level is the answer.
This variant offers plenty of luxury, and its price starts slightly below $50,000. Changes for 2021 are numerous. That includes various exterior and interior updates. However, performance should largely remain. The sales will start by the end of 2020.
2021 Palisade Calligraphy Looks Very Premium
The upcoming 2021 Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy is making a real standout in the crowd. It comes with unique 20-inch alloy wheels and unique triangle-pattern grille. The doors are also looking unique, especially with the special garnish. Taillights are brand-new and are now featuring a wider LED center high-mount stoplight.
Everything on this SUV looks premium and stylish. LED headlights are standard now, along with the sunroof. Hyundai will provide additional chrome accents, and bodywork is improved as well. Palisade SUV rides on the same platform as the Kia Telluride, so nothing will change beneath the shell.
Interior is Incredibly Stylish
We must admit that the previous Limited trim level looked really impressive on the inside. However, a new 2021 Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy will replace it, and it will look even better. Once you open the doors, the first thing you’ll notice is the quilted-leather door panels. On top of that, Hyundai offers microfiber suede headliner and perforated leather-wrapped steering wheel. Interestingly, you will also spot a brand-new cargo sill protection, taken from the Hyundai’s luxury brand Genesis.
The interior comes with Nappa leather seats, a 10.25-inch touchscreen as a 12.3-inch all-digital instrument cluster. For 2021, Hyundai will include wireless smartphone connectivity, new ambient lighting system. Lastly, the South Korean manufacturer will also improve its Drive Guidance and Premium packages.
Potent V6 Engine Option
Under the hood, new 2021 Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy offers a familiar 3.8-liter V6 engine. It is the only engine option, and it delivers 291 horsepower. On top of that, this unit is capable of producing 262 lb-ft of torque. This engine is available across the complete Palisade’s trim level lineup. However, only the Calligraphy version comes with a standard all-wheel-drive system.
An eight-speed automatic transmission is standard once again. Other Palisade trims are offering a standard front-wheel-drive setup. The same setup, including the platform, can be found in new Kia Telluride.
2021 Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy Price and Release Date
The forthcoming 2021 Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy will cost $49,000. It is slightly above the previous Limited trim level, but Calligraphy offers more luxury than its predecessor. To compare, base Palisade SE trim starts at $34,000. Moreover, upper trim levels are starting between $40,000 and $45,000.
Hyundai will release its new mid-size SUV later in 2020. Most likely, the sales will begin in the last quarter of the year. Palisade is still one of the best and most reliable seven-seat family SUVs, and Calligraphy version is incredibly luxurious.
