The all-new 2021 Hyundai 45 is the brand’s latest electric crossover-SUV. This model has been spied for the first time a couple of od days ago. It will arrive later in 2020 as a model for 2021. Hyundai promises around 300 miles of driving range on a single charge and much more. The concept has been revealed last year at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
And just like the concept, Hyundai’s idea is to put this model on the markets as a direct rival of the Volkswagen ID.4. Moreover, Skoda Enyaq and Kia e-Niro will compete as well. For that reason, the new Hyundai 45 will cost in line with these models. Expect a lot of interesting features and styling cues. On top of that, performances will be great and the interior will offer a high level of comfort.
Hyundai 45 Looks Futuristic
If you are a fan of Hyundai and its design language then you are going to like this new crossover. The upcoming 2021 Hyundai 45 will look similar to its original concept. According to the latest info, 45 models will be a subcompact crossover. Moreover, Hyundai will deliver a very attractive design that looks super-modern or futuristic, call it whatever you like.
The company’s new crossover will ride on a new E-GMP electric car platform. The concept has been inspired by the Hyundai Pony Coupe from 1974. On top of that, Hyundai 45 will look close to this concept with slimmer grille and squared LED taillights.
On the inside, this model will look sporty and modern. The 2021 Hyundai 45 will once again draw a lot of things from the concept. For instance, the materials are very upscale and upholstery looks retro and funky at the same time. Moreover, floor mats and wooden dash are providing a more traditional look. Cotton upholstery is offered as standard but the highlight of the interior is a large touchscreen unit.
The digital instrument cluster looks modern, along with the LED ambient lighting. As you can see, the cabin is a perfect mix of different themes and times. The latest spy photographs are confirming that the cabin won’t feature any analog dials at all. Overall, Hyundai 45 will provide a unique interior design with interesting features but its lack of space could be the problem for some customers.
Performance, Charging, Driving Range
As we already wrote, a new 2021 Hyundai 45 will ride on a company’s brand-new E-GMP electric car platform. This is perhaps the reason why the 45 crossover will arrive as a subcompact model. However, not all of the details are available at the moment. What we know is that this electric crossover will arrive with a high-capacity 350kW chargers so expect very fast charging. On top of that, Hyundai said the all-new model will provide around 300 miles of all-electric driving range. Unfortunately, the manufacturer didn’t say anything about performance figures or transmission.
2021 Hyundai 45 Price and Release Date
South Korean manufacturer said that the 2021 Hyundai 45 will compete with Kia e-Niro, Skoda Enyaq, and Volkswagen ID.4 models. For that reason, its price should start at around $40,000. As for the arrival date, Hyundai will release its all-electric crossover in the last quarter of 2020.
