2021 Honda Element – Release Date, Changes

The upcoming 2021 Honda Element is coming to the markets by the end of 2020. The Japanese manufacturer will focus on every aspect, and it will provide numerous updates. For a start, the exterior redesign is a must. Thanks to that, Element will arrive with a better look, but its boxy shape remains. New exterior colors are in the works, along with the new optional exterior features.

Honda will deliver various interior updates, but the engine department will remain intact. There will be two engine options, so no changes will happen under the bonnet. Element will offer some exciting packages, and that includes a pet-friendly package. The 2021 Element will cost slightly above the outgoing model.

2021 Element Redesign

As for the exterior, the new 2021 Honda Element will introduce a redesign. Thanks to that, the new crossover will look sportier, and it will offer more character. However, its boxy shape largely remains. Moreover, the vehicle’s dimensions are unchanged. Element will wear sharper lines and creases, but some parts are still looking odd. The front fascia looks unique, and a new stylish grille is the highlight of the front section.

Honda offers a new and optional LED headlights. Fog lights are reshaped, and the rear part comes with revised taillights. Bumpers are finished in a different color, so body-colored bumpers are gone. Element will once again compete in the compact segment, and it will provide fantastic maneuverability and impressive handling.

Interior Updates

The interior of the 2021 Honda Element will also look odd, but unique. The Japanese manufacturer will provide more high-quality materials, so comfort is at a higher level. This crossover offers two rows of seats and a room for five, just like the outgoing model. However, Honda will create a better indoor space, so the front occupants will have more room. There will be five trim levels.

The LX trim level comes with more standard equipment than before. It includes a new infotainment system, better automatic climate controls, and a four-speaker sound system. Element will also gain new driver-assistance aids. The EX trim offers even more equipment, and it cost $2,000 above the base model. Lastly, Honda will create a brand-new digital dashboard.

Engine Specs, Manual Transmission

Under the hood, the new 2021 Honda Element offers the same two engine options. Everything starts with a 2.4-liter gasoline engine that can produce 200 horsepower. The optional 1.5-liter turbo engine is a better option. It delivers slightly more horses, up to 210, and it could offer a manual transmission.

However, its torque rating is significantly higher. Element weighs 3418 lbs, and it will offer a start/stop system. Thanks to that, the fuel economy will be better than before. We are still waiting for Honda to release exact engine specs. Don’t be surprised if one of the engines get more power.

2021 Honda Element Release Date and Price

The approaching 2021 Honda Element was supposed to arrive this summer. However, the Coronavirus outbreak will delay its launch for the last quarter of 2020. The price will now start slightly higher, so the base trim level will cost $22,000.

As for the range-topping trim level, the customers will have to pay over $30,000. As we said, Honda will announce new and optional packages. One of the most exciting packages is the Dog-Friendly Package.
