The all-new 2021 Ford Expedition will continue to offer its reliable V6 engine. This 3.5-liter powertrain provides 380 hp and 480 lb-ft of torque. Thanks to such a high torque figure, Expedition can tow up to 9,400 pounds. A 10-speed automatic transmission will remain unchanged. Optional 3.0-liter V6 PowerStroke is also available.

This diesel version can produce up to 250 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of twisting power. At this moment, hybrid powertrain won’t happen. That means you can expect some sort of electrification in 2022. Basically, nothing will change under the hood in the next year.

2021 Ford Expedition Price and Release Date

The approaching full-size SUV will surely get a slightly higher price. The current model starts at $53,000, and a new one will become available for $55,000. Expedition MAX costs an additional $3,000, and we are yet to find out the price of the new King Ranch trim level. As we said, Expedition Hybrid will happen, but not in the next one year. Ford will release its new model later in 2020, most likely in the last quarter of 2020.
