2021 BMW X6: Changes, Release Date

Redesigned 2021 BMW X6 is coming to the dealerships in the coming months. The German manufacturer will provide plenty of refreshments. Thanks to that, luxury SUV will look even better, and it will offer more features. The cabin is premium, and it provides a room for five passengers. X6 is a four-door variant that was firstly introduced in 2008.

Since then, X6 became one of the most popular SUVs in the markets. Nowadays, BMW offers a fourth-generation X6, and further changes are proving the brand’s ambition about the X6 model. Shape and dimensions will remain, however, latest upgrades will make this SUV more upright and stylish. Here’s everything we know about arriving SUV.

BMW X6 Refreshments

As we said, the shape and vehicle’s dimensions won’t change at all. However, new 2021 BMW X6 will wear a more upright styling, and the latest modifications are looking beautiful. The front fascia looks more aggressive, and the kidney grille looks more upscale than before. SUV’s stance is sportier, and swoopy roofline looks incredible in our opinion.

The hood is longer, while the front part looks shorter. Rear overhangs are all-new, and the back of the vehicle hosts reshaped taillights. Overall, numerous minor changes made new X6 visually better and more modern.

Interior

On the inside, the upcoming 2021 BMW X6 looks very premium. Next model will gain cleaner design and more luxury. High-tech features are impressive, along with high-quality materials. The updates include a new arrangement of controls and a new infotainment system. The X6 SUV remains a five-seat model with a high level of comfort and plenty of room. An infotainment screen sits atop of the dash, and the electric shifter is available once again.

We like the sporty three-spoke steering wheel that sports various buttons and controls. The approaching model will also introduce more safety systems. X6 version is full of driver-assistance aids, and some of them are offered in optional packages. For 2021, BMW offers blind-spot monitors, lane-departure warning, auto emergency braking and adaptive LED headlamps.

Engine Lineup Not Changed

Nothing will change under the hood. The 2021 BMW X6 will continue to offer three powertrain options. The base model comes with a 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine. Called the “sDrive40i”, regular version generates 335 hp and 330 lb-ft of torque.

The M50i variant offers a 4.4-liter twin-turbo engine. Potent V8 is capable of producing 523 horses. Lastly, the range-topping X6 M version uses the same V8 engine. However, the M model cranks out 617 horsepower. All three outputs are using the same eight-speed automatic transmissions.
