New 2021 Audi Q3 is the smallest brand’s crossover SUV and is also the most affordable Audi’s SUV you can get. For 2021, Audi will deliver various updates. For a start, the S line exterior styling is now standard. Moreover, the Prestige trim is no longer available. Audi will improve its optional packages, especially the Technology package that now comes with a new Bang & Olufsen sound system. Additional driver-assistance features are in the offer, and the new Black Optic package is also in the offer.
This crossover SUV was revamped two years ago. The second-generation is currently on the roads, so we don’t expect major visual updates. However, Audi will focus on new technology in order to rival Mercedes and BMW. Performances are more than good, and ride quality is superb.
New Audi Q3 Gets Standard S-Line Treatment
The second-gen 2021 Audi Q3 comes with an attractive look, and it looks very modern. It is a small but handsome crossover SUV with mature design, and it seems more like a raised hatchback. Moreover, think of it as a smaller Audi Q5 model. We like the stylish grille up front, paired with modern LED headlights. Audi provides beautiful metal creases and sharper lines all around the vehicle.
The Q3 comes with wider wheel arches, and both 19 and 20-inch wheels are available. The rear part hosts an integrated spoiler and LED taillights. The S-line treatment is standard from now on, and it adds details such as more aggressive front fascia and wider openings. Audi will also deliver a new Black Optic sport package with darkened wheels, roof rails, and various black accents.
The upcoming 2021 Audi Q3 looks very modern and attractive on the inside as well. The cabin is full of high-quality materials and the latest high-tech amenities. Moreover, the Q3 crossover SUV will get further improvements. Seats are providing great comfort, and Q3 is a surprisingly roomy model, given its small dimensions. The subcompact crossover is practical as well, and its second-row slides forward and back in order to increase the cargo room. Speaking of which, the cargo area delivers 23.7 cubic feet.
Fold the rear seats, and you will get 48 cubic feet of cargo space. An 8.8-inch is standard, but you can also buy a larger and optional 10.1-inch display. Q3 also offers a wireless smartphone charger and its iconic Audi Virtual Cockpit with a fully digital instrument cluster. The best part is that the Q3 is the only model in its segment that comes with standard leather upholstery, available in black or beige colors.
2021 Q3 Specs
The approaching 2021 Audi Q3 comes with a single powertrain option. It is a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 228 horsepower. Small crossover SUV offers an eight-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission. Furthermore, a manual-shift mode is available too.
Audi’s Quattro AWD system is standard, and fuel economy is rated at 22 mpg combined. 258 lb-ft of torque is more than enough in our opinion, and Q3 really provides superb ride quality. However, its fuel economy figures are far from the best-in-class numbers.
2021 Audi Q3 Price and Release Date
The price of the 2021 Audi Q3 starts at $36,000. It is Audi’s most affordable SUV, and the price is in line with other competitors. However, Q3 offers a standard AWD system and standard leather upholstery, which are optional features in the rest of the competition. The sales will begin in the last quarter of 2020.
