2020 Jaguar I-Pace: Facelift, Driving Range, Price

In 2015, F-Pace became Jaguar’s first SUV. Right after that, British automaker introduced the all-electric I-Pace. Now, the 2020 Jaguar I-Pace is about to arrive ones again. This time, with new updates, both visual and tech-wise. I-Pace is basically the F-Pace SUV with an all-electric drivetrain. Jaguar surely plans to give it a try against the Tesla Model X.

There will be room for five persons and the interior is truly stylish and modern. Exterior design is superb, classic Jag. For 2020, we can expect improved aerodynamics, new optional exterior features, and modernized interior. As for the performance, things should stay intact.

2020 Jaguar I-Pace Exterior Facelift

As we already wrote, the arriving 2020 Jaguar I-Pace looks almost the same as the F-Pace model. I-Pace is a very unique crossover for various reasons. However, the design is not one of them. Based on the concept, I-Pace looks very modern and aggressive. The only difference between the concept and the product model is dimensions. A production model is slightly smaller than Jaguar promised on concept.

Lower hood and roof design are cues that we can see on the C-X75 supercar. Generally, I-Pace looks sporty and exciting. Front fascia hosts the same headlights as the current model. Whatsoever, the bumpers and the grille are also the same. The electric crossover comes with a standard LED daytime running lights. The hood will now get small vent and rear end will get more badging.

Technology Updates

Inside the cabin, a new 2020 Jaguar I-Pace will host a couple of updates. Interestingly, Jaguar offers the same cabin as in the concept. The wider center stack and large infotainment touchscreen are perhaps the highlights when it comes to tech goodies. The dash is very modern and larger A/C vents are great addition.

A three-spoke steering wheel is sporty and we personally like the all-digital instrument cluster. For 2020, I-Pace will get numerous system updates and more driver-assistance features. The interior is very modern and stylish. The credit goes to fine leather upholstery, wood trims and perfectly supportive seats. As in the current model, I-Pace offers room for five passengers.

Performance, Driving Range, Acceleration

The electric crossover provides the same output as the concept showed us. The upcoming 2020 Jaguar I-Pace will use a 90 kWh lithium-ion battery pack and two electric motors. This output produces up to 395 hp and 513 lb-ft of torque. That is a lot of power for the all-electric crossover. Thanks to that, I-Pace accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds. Not bad. An estimated driving range is rated at 298 miles. As for the charging, you can charge the battery from 0 to 80 percent in 80 minutes.

2020 Jaguar I-Pace Price, Release Date, Competition

This model won’t come cheap, after all, it is a Jaguar. The brand-new 2020 Jaguar I-Pace starts somewhere between $70,000 and $80,000. Premium electric crossover will become available in three trim levels. On top of that, this model will go on sale in the coming months. I-Pace will have a lot of competitors.
