This engine is connected to the new 8-speed automatic transmission that sends power to the rear-wheel-drive as standard or all-wheel-drive configurations as optional.

Plug-in hybrid model
The 2020 BMW X3 xDrive30e model will be also on the offer. This plug-in hybrid model will come with the 2.0-liter 4-cylinder gasoline turbo engine and an electric motor. From the information that we got, the manufacturer will use a 7.6 kWh battery that will power this SUV.
The new plug-in hybrid model will produce around 275 horses and the torque of 295 pound-feet of torque from the latest update. Furthermore, on the electric-only, this model will go at least 30 miles. The all-wheel-drive system is the standard.
Release Date and Price
The 2020 BMW X3 will be released at the end of this year with some redesign. The price of the base model will remain the same as before. The base model will cost $35.000.
However, the more powerful M model will start at $50.000. The price of the plug-in hybrid model is not year revealed. However, we can expect its price to be in the range from $41,000 to $43.000.
